We exist to provide primary care as it is meant to be: grounded in a relationship between people, focused on an authentic experience, and crafted to help you achieve your optimal health.
We are working to re-center the person — and primary care itself — in the health care system. Better primary care doesn’t have to be complicated. It can and should be accessible, personal, comprehensive, well-coordinated, affordable, and excellent.
Connection is at the core of primary care. We honor our relationships with individual members and with the communities we serve, recognizing the intrinsic impact of social determinants of health, with equity as a priority.
We value curiosity and listening. We communicate clearly, even in difficult conversations, and we operate with a collaborative spirit, shared decision-making, transparency, and integrity.
We show up — participation and accompaniment define how we practice. We prioritize sustainability, balance, and being present, with our incentives aligned to your long-term health.
SevenHeaven Care was founded in 2018 by Dr. Marcus Whitfield in the New York – New Jersey metro area. The practice began inside a regional health system before becoming fully independent in 2020, giving our physicians the freedom to practice medicine the way it was meant to be practiced — without productivity quotas or insurance interference.
Looking ahead, we intend to convert SevenHeaven Care into an employee-owned trust structure, permanently protecting the practice from outside acquisition and keeping decision-making in the hands of the clinicians and staff who serve our members every day.
